Known for iconic collaborations with the likes of Moncler, Coperni, HBA, Marine Serre, and more, the Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster just debuted the first iteration of the new “BOLD” collection.
Titled “Galaxy of 9 evenings,” the highly anticipated collection is made up of 12 designs adorned with stars and celestial motifs and comes in a variety of silhouettes and colorways. There’s a sleek black cat-eye frame, a sporty-meets-futuristic aviator in a pink frame, a modern oval shape in shimmery blue, a purple hologram frame, and a crystal embellished rectangular frame, with each design featuring the signature BOLD symbol on the temple.
The “Galaxy of 9 Evenings” campaign was photographed by Heji Shin and inspired by the extraordinary attempts made in the 1966 art project “9 Evenings: Theater and Engineering” that blurred the boundaries between the realms of art and science.
