Freedom Moses, Jonathan Simkhai

The matching sets trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, as exemplified by Jonathan Simkhai’s first-ever collaboration with the Tel Aviv-based footwear label Freedom Moses. The brand is known and loved for its genderless, recyclable slides, which just launched in three patterns inspired by the fashion designer’s Spring-Summer 2021 swim prints. If you’re as obsessed with monochrome dressing as I am, this capsule collection is the perfect way to go from work-from-home sweats and slippers to head-to-toe designer—all without sacrificing comfort.

Per the designer, this collab has been in the works since July 2020. “We thought, ‘how cool would it be to put Simkhai SS21 swim prints onto the classic 2-band sandals?’ and it happened just like that,” Simkhai tells GRAZIA via email. “I have an enormous appreciation for Freedom Moses founder Sarah Gurt’s commitment to sustainability and earth-friendly footwear design. Her stance on putting the planet first while sourcing materials is a similar stance to what we’re doing at Jonathan Simkhai, so I was very excited to collaborate.”
