Fendi Fall 2021, hair pins

Wednesday, February 24: Today, all eyes were on Kim Jones’ women’s ready-to-wear collection debut for Fendi amid Milan Fashion Week. This event marks the designer’s third collection for the luxury Italian fashion house since stepping into the coveted role of artistic director this past September. Compared to his celeb-studded couture runway presentation last month, Jones’ FW21 womenswear show was quieter, simpler even, but more relatable. He unveiled an exquisite neutral-toned lineup of wares, which he colloquially dubs “real clothes.”

To accompany the collection’s commitment to creating universally wearable silhouettes, one of the fashion industry’s favorite hairstylists, Guido Palau, dreamed up hairstyles that reflect this sentiment. The majority of models hit the runway in one of two timeless, non-intimidating looks. The first was classic cornrows tied back into a low bun, and the second was a dramatic off-center part featuring hair pinned back on both sides with an elegant Fendi hair pin to match their statement earrings. Get an up-close look at both hairstyles and jewelry via the gallery below.

The subtle but alluring Fendi hair pins are a part of Delfina Delettrez Fendi’s new jewelry collection for the label, entitled FENDI O’Lock, slated to launch with the FW21 collection. The accessories incorporate a modernized version of the label’s logo, and some of them have a padlock that can only be opened by dialing “Fendi.” Ahead of the FENDI O’Lock drop, shop some more of our favorite Fendi hair accessories below.
