Internet sensation Emma Chamberlain made her first-ever talk show debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week. The influencer spoke about her fans, her coffee company, and addressed her hilarious interview (that was shared as a meme instantly) with Jack Harlow at the 2022 Met Gala.
Chamberlain looked adorable wearing a modern take on a classic button-down by the brand, Saint Sintra, and completed the look with a gray mini skirt and pair of black, platform, knee-high boots.
Fallon opened the interview by asking what exactly she does, to which she said that’s a “hardest question.”
“I think I just put things on the internet, and then I go like this,” she said as she crossed her fingers.
Chamberlain got her start on YouTube, which launched in 2016, by making vlogs that featured her going on coffee runs around L.A. and picking out her outfits for the day. She’s since picked up a lot of traction on social media, with 11.5 million subscribers on YouTube, and 15.7 million followers on Instagram. The YouTube star is admired by many people in her age range, as well as mothers. She said to Fallon, “I can imagine people relate to me who are my age, but a mom? I love it!”
Her influencer status earned her an invite to attend the Met Gala in 2021, and then she was invited back as an interviewer for Vogue in 2022. One of her most famous red carpet interviews from the evening, which Fallon showed a clip of, was with rapper, Jack Harlow, who concluded speaking with her by saying “Love you!” to which she nervously responded “Love ya!” and immediately let out a laugh. Fallon also showed Harlow’s response to their silly moment, to which he said he really does love her.
Chamberlain also talked about her coffee company, Chamberlain Coffee, which as her OG fans know, is perfect for her since she basically got her start by testing different coffees throughout L.A. The interview concluded with Fallon and Chamberlain doing a toast while taste testing her brand’s cold brew.
