When it was leaked to the press that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were expecting their first child together, the couple initially looked like they were going to keep their experience incredibly low-key – that is, until Hadid dropped a glamorous baby bump photoshoot to Instagram, which included a studio, a full team – including a makeup artist, hairstylist and photographer, and multiple outfit changes.
Now, Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hosk has followed in Hadid’s footsteps, announcing her first pregnancy with her longtime boyfriend, Tom Daly, with a similar baby bump photoshoot shared to her Instagram overnight.
Surprising her 6.2 million followers, the Swedish supermodel shared a range of black and white maternity photos captured by photographer Sante D’Orazio, writing, “Been keeping this angel in my belly a secret for a while… 👼🏻 Feeling beyond excited and lucky to be having a baby and begin the next chapter of life with the man of my dreams!!!! Half way there @tomtomdaly ❤️.”
Just like Hadid did, Hosk shared behind-the-scenes videos of the shoot, showing her studio set-up. She also shared an image to Instagram Stories with the caption, “And if you don’t know, now you know.”
Of course, Hadid and Hosk are definitely not the first celebrities to take it upon themselves to announce their pregnancy on Instagram. Who can forget Beyonce’s internet-breaking moment in February 2017 where she casually dropped that she was expecting twins while wearing lingerie, a veil and sitting in front of an outrageous floral arrangement?
