Over the past few years, Dolly Parton has been having an unexpected resurgence, thanks to the popular podcast series, Dolly Parton’s America ,and her new Netflix show, Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings.
But over the past few days, the singer has been trending for a seriously surprising reason: she started the first viral meme of the decade. The 74-year-old, who doesn’t even use Instagram, is behind all of the LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder collages you’ve been seeing all over your feed recently, a meme that was aptly dubbed the ‘Dolly Parton Challenge.’
Taking to Twitter last week, the 74-year-old shared four side-by-side images of herself captioned, ‘LinkedIn’, ‘Facebook’, ‘Instagram’ and ‘Tinder,’ writing alongside the post, “Get you a woman who can do it all.”

While LinkedIn showed Parton’s most professional-self, Facebook was skewed towards family and friends – see her wholesome Christmas sweater – Instagram was cute and fun to ensure maximum likes and Tinder was Playboy bunny levels of sexy.
Naturally, the iconic post quickly went viral with everyone from Martha Stewart to Miley Cyrus jumping on board to share their takes with the hashtag, #DollyPartonChallenge.
The result? Some seriously hilarious collages – and unexpected celebrities getting involved (hello, Gordon Ramsay).
