Dana Gordon has a love and talent for jewelry design that lives in her DNA, she grew up as a third-generation jeweler, spending time in her father’s factory. Along with her sister and business partner, NYC-based Jennifer Wainstein, they innovate and design beautiful and unique pieces of jewelry for the everyday woman.

Gordon sat down with GRAZIA to talk some of the newest designs and innovations of Dana Rebecca Designs.

Tennis Necklaces

DG: I am all about everyday luxury, and too many people leave their best jewels for special occasions. I purposefully designed our tennis necklaces to feel glam but also attainable, so you’ll reach for them daily instead of occasionally.

Flexi Cuffs

DG: Luxury misses the mark if it looks beautiful but is uncomfortable or isn’t easy to wear. Our Flexi Cuffs are the perfect diamond bracelet as they are so comfortable you’ll forget you’re wearing them. They’re also easy to take on and off by yourself – you can do it one-handed – so no more bending yourself into awkward angles or asking someone else to latch your bracelet for you.

Huggies/Poppy Hoops

DG: When people ask me what earrings everyone should have in their collection, I always say hoops and huggies. They are easy to style, comfortable, and timeless. I love our classic DRD Huggies for a touch of sparkle. Additionally, I have been reaching for the Poppy Rae Pebble Hoops all year. The texture of the gold pebbles is a great contrast to my diamond studs, and the size makes them perfect to wear alone or stack.

Virtual Try-On

DG: I am so excited because we just added the most amazing feature to the site so you can try on all the jewels virtually! It’s so easy to use – you snap a photo of yourself and see what the jewelry would look like on you. It even lets you stack multiple rings and get accurate size comparisons. Total game-changer for online shopping!

Gifting

DG: It has been a priority of mine to make sure we are looking for ways to not only elevate the customer experience of gifting and receiving DRD but also find ways where can be more thoughtful about our environmental impact. We decided to get rid of gift-wrapping to save on the waste the paper makes and instead elevate our gift boxes. We now have stunning packaging that is giftable the second it arrives and is recyclable. But most customers keep the boxes! That’s how pretty they are.
