The collection is made almost entirely from recycled ocean plastic, sustainable viscose fibers, and recycled threads. “It’s important for me to combine form and function, so that every bag is practical and attractive. As well as both timeless and fashionable” says Chylak founder & creative director, Zofia Chylak. The collection takes its name from the the Moiré fabric—known for its ripple effect and wave like appearance—which is a technique dating back to weavers and artisans of Ancient Egypt.
Founded in 2014 in Warsaw, Poland, by trained art historian and designer Zofia Chylak, Chylak specializes in crafting affordable luxe, bags and accessories from the highest quality fabrics and hardware. The bags are made in Poland with the highest attention to detail and craftsmanship with every piece hand-stamped with a gold serial number.
