Chanel N°5
Chloe Wise wearing Chanel

Chanel rarely needs an excuse to throw a dazzling fête, but with the centennial of the first fragrance created by a woman, Gabrielle Coco Chanel, the luxury fashion house naturally went all out. Upon receiving the invitation, it read, “Chanel N°5 in the Stars” — and in the stars is precisely what the night was. Hosted outdoors, the French fashion maison gave Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center ice rink the Chanel treatment with towering silhouettes of the famed N°5 and its various iterations dating back to its origins. No details were missed everything down to the ice on the rink was branded with the iconic houses code.

Not only was the night under the stars, but it was filled with a stars, a star-studded guest list that is. Chanel-regulars including Lily Allen, Rebecca Dayan, Dylan Penn, Chloe Wise, Tommy Dorfman, Phoebe Tonkin, and many more all made their way to the event, most dressed in head-to-toe Chanel. Several activations, such as a N°5-themed photo booth to a series of games like scratch-off reward cards and fragrance compatibility tests, and of course, cocktails filled the time as guests braved the cold waiting for the highly anticipated “special performance.” The performer in question? No other than icon Mary J. Blige. The event closed out with the hip-hop singer performing her top hits and doing her iconic two-step walk in a shimmery sequined Chanel bodysuit.

Ahead, Chloe Wise gives us an inside look at the night in the stars through her exclusive Chanel photo diary.
