Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz’s romance, which was confirmed to the world in the most iconic way possible: by them riding a BMZ through the streets of New York together, is one of the most unexpected celebrity unions in recent history.
After a few years of dating, the pair, who met on the set of Kravitz’s upcoming directorial debut, Pussy Palace, are slowly becoming more comfortable with the world knowing about their romance with Kravitz gushing over Tatum in an interview last year.
Now, in a new cover story with Vanity Fair, Tatum addressed the concept of marriage and whether he could ever see himself walking down the aisle, following his divorce from Jenna Dewan, who he was married to from 2009 to 2019.
“I don’t know if I’m ever going to get married again,” Tatum admitted. “Relationships are hard for me. Even though I am a bit of a monogamist,” he explained. “In business, I have no real fear of anything being destroyed. But heart things, when it comes to people I love, I have a really hard time. I end up trying too hard, you know?”
Tatum went on to speak about his “terrifying” divorce from Dewan, saying it was “exactly what [they] needed” despite being “scary.” “Your life just turns on its axis,” he recalled. “This whole plan that you had literally just turns into sand and goes through your fingers, and you’re just like, ‘Oh, s**t.’” Tatum added that the breakup gave him the chance to “work on” himself and “become best friends” with his 9-year-old daughter, Everly.
Sadly, it sounds like we won’t be getting a chic celebrity wedding anytime soon out of these two, but at least we’ll always have those BMX pics.
