About Last Night: Chanel Presented Tribute To Penélope Cruz At The Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit
Penélope Cruz’s impressive career in film was honored by the MoMA last night, with the help of her favorite fashion house Chanel
Penélope Cruz has been a household name of the Hollywood A-list set for ages now, and last night the Museum Of Modern Art decided it was time to pay tribute to her, courtesy of Parisian fashion house Chanel. The actress donned a classic fire engine red gown with a crystal encrusted bust line by the luxury maison, while many other stars opted for the brand as well.
The Museum Of Modern Art Film Benefit saw stars Anne Hathaway, Ricky Martin, Diane Kruger, Rosalía, Riley Keough, Leslie Mann, Judd Apatow, and more come out to honor Cruz’s expansive career in cinema. During the benefit, the Academy Award winning actress saw fit to express her gratitude for the acclaimed director Pedro Almodóvar, with whom she has worked with over seven films including her forthcoming feature Parallel Mothers.
The MoMA film benefit supports the museum’s initiative to acquire celebrated works of cinema for their collection, which spans over 30,000 films and comprises approximately 1.5 million film stills. The renowned Spanish actress and Chanel brand ambassador now joins the ranks of Martin Scorsese, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hanks, Julianne Moore, George Clooney, and more who have received this prestigious honor.
