Hi, hello! It’s one of the most important days… I’m going to say ever. Today is election day in the USA, which means that if you currently live in the country and have the right to vote there, you need to do it now.

In a few hours, we’ll start to see results from polling, in which President Donald Trump is up against Democratic Nominee Joe Biden in what is being dubbed the most important election of our lifetimes. People’s lives and livelihoods are at stake, the climate is at stake and, in all honesty, so everyone’s mental health.

This election has been more talked-about than any other, especially on social media, where celebrities are being vocal about voting and who they’re supporting this election. From Selena Gomez admitting she’d never voted prior to this year, to Karlie Kloss publicly endorsing Joe Biden (despite her husband, Josh, being Jared Kushner’s brother), to Lady Gaga using her ballot dropoff as a red carpet-worthy fashion moment.

#IVOTED for @joebiden and @kamalaharris. I dropped my ballot off, and I did it early 👏🏼 I voted for them because right now this country is more divided than ever. Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies. Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died. ⠀ I urge you to really consider who is going to be most affected by this election if we stay on the track we’re on right now… your daughters, the LGBTQ+ community, our Black brothers and sisters, the elderly with health conditions, and your future kids and grandkids (who will be tasked with saving a planet that our leadership refuses to believe is hurting). ⠀ ⠀ This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency. ⠀ ❤️🗳⠀ ⠀ ⠀ PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible 🙏🏼

I vote because I love my country. From my friends and family members who live here, to my neighbors and millions of people I don’t know, I love the citizens here. This year I’ve been so stressed and anxious from politics alone. This post isn’t about telling you to vote for, it’s about telling you to vote PERIOD. I want to know that whatever the outcome is, we raised our voices and spoke up for what we wanted. And if change is what you want, nothing will change unless you take action. So please, if you are old enough, please get out there and speak up. P.S. I’m so grateful to have been able to vote because it wasn’t too long ago women didn’t even have those rights.. (see what happens when we demand change? 😜☺️) 🙏🏼 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

Voting can be a 𝔭𝔯𝔢𝔠𝔞𝔯𝔦𝔬𝔲𝔰 experience. Turns out some vote by mail ballots don't show up to your home, like in my case this year! 𝓢𝓸, 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓭𝓲𝓭 𝓘 𝓭𝓸? I put on my mask, placed my voter guide in my handy dandy VOTE purse and drove my ass down to my local polling location to request a ballot and VOTED. It may not be as easy as we want it to be, but even a complicated journey to having your vote counted is a journey worth embarking on. Vote in person if you haven’t yet voted, or drop your mail in ballot at your local ballot box (don't mail it now as it may not get there on time to be counted!). Your voice matters. Your vote is valid. And I am wishing you all the strength in fighting any battles on your vote 2020 journey! That cheeky smile is because I had the pleasure of voting early! Did you? It will surprise exactly nobody to learn that I support #bidenharris- because I want a world where healthcare is a right not a privilege, women have bodily autonomy, systemic racism doesn’t run rampant throughout our police forces, our trans siblings can walk into any bathroom, global warming isn’t treated as a myth…. the list goes on. This administration has told a lot of lies, but if you’ve ever heard your vote doesn’t matter then that’s the biggest lie there is. So make your voting plan, talk to your friends and family about theirs and vote like it’s as fun as eating Takis in bed or a night in Vegas- because there’s nothing sweeter than taking back your liberty, baby.
