Buongiorno Grazia by Bianca Cedrone

Joining in the choir of dissent and promoting peace, Grazia Italy editor Silvia Grilli created a special edition of the magazine, comprised of 10 collectable artistic digital covers designed by Bianca Cedrone, to support the women and children of Ukraine.

Each cover, which represents a treasured value of Grazia, was inspired to defend a more inclusive, freer world. They were also created using NFT technology, with images set to the music of composer Giovanni Allevi.

The NFTs are on sale at manifestograzia.com/en, where all proceeds will go towards the “Emergenza Ucraina” (Ukraine Emergency) project for women and children of the Fondazione Francesca Rava N.P.H. Italia Onlus (an Italian organization that supports child in need worldwide).

After a long period of political tension, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24, resulting in hundreds of deaths and millions of Ukrainians fleeing the country. In response, much of the world has denounced President Putin’s tactics, called for peace, and united in support of the people of Ukraine.

Buongiorno Grazia by Bianca Cedrone “E Bellezza”

“There are times when it is our duty to underline which side we are on. This is one of those moments and we are on the side of freedom. And we are declaring it with this extraordinary issue of Grazia and 10 covers that are works of art and represent what we believe in: peace, human rights, care for the planet, honest journalism,” Grilli said in a statement.

“I am deeply grateful to the editor Silvia Grilli who, with this wonderful initiative launched by the magazine, decided to support the Fondazione Francesca Rava, which is always at the forefront of helping children and families in difficulty, and is now also involved in the Ukraine emergency,” said the President of the Fondazione Francesca Rava NPH Italia Onlus, Mariavittoria Rava.

In her statement, Rava said hours after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the foundation took “immediate action” responding to the needs of hospitals in the country. “We took prompt action on two fronts: sending convoys with drugs, medical, surgical and operating theatre equipment via Siret-Romania and warmly welcoming Ukrainian mothers and children arriving in Italy making enormous sacrifices. We need everyone’s help in order to save as many lives as we can and this wonderful project is of great help to us. I therefore launch an appeal to all readers of Grazia, for their support for the work of the Francesca Rava Foundation in this emergency.”

On newsstands now, this special issue of Grazia is dedicated to the 10 core principles of the Grazia brand: peace, international appreciation, activism, inclusion, fashion, beauty, feminism, vision, safeguarding the planet, and using your voice for good.
