On Sept. 15 Blake Lively announced her fourth pregnancy, as has become customary, on the red carpet. The actress was attending the annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit in New York City when she stepped out in a gold sequin mini cradling her small baby bump. Naturally what ensued was a media frenzy with paparazzi now reportedly camped outside Lively’s home.
The Gossip Girl alum and her husband Ryan Reynolds are notoriously private when it comes to home life and the actress clearly didn’t appreciate the media attention. Over the weekend it all got a little too much and she sent a message — in the most iconic way — via Instagram.
“Here are photos of me pregnant in real life so the 11 guys waiting outside my home for a 🦄 sighting will leave me alone. You freak me and my kids out,” she wrote alongside a rolodex of home pregnancy photos. “Thanks to everyone else for all the love and respect and for continuing to unfollow accounts and publications who share photos of children. You have all the power against them. And thank you to the media who have a “No Kids Policy”. You all make all the difference 🙏♥️. Much love! Xxb.”
The happy snaps included poolside photos wearing a Follow Suit one-piece and pictures with Samantha Stone and famous friend, Taylor Swift. She garnered plenty of praise in the comment section with Gigi Hadid writing, “U da best B !” and Gwyneth Paltrow writing, “This is fantastic.”
Lively has been vocal about the paparazzi capturing and selling photos including children in the past. In a since-deleted post on the Hollywood Star Kids Instagram page she once wrote, “This is so disturbing. I’ve personally shared with you that these men stalk and harass my children. And you are still posting. You said you would stop. You personally promised me. This is not casual appreciation. This is YOU also exploiting very young children,” she wrote.”
The likes of Gigi Hadid and Sophie Turner have also slammed photographers in the past.
