At last night’s Los Angeles premiere of Amazon Studio’s Cinderella, the red carpet, or in this case the purple carpet, was filled with mystical fashions. But when Billy Porter walks in a room, you know it is just going to be the best kind of stylish spectacle. The 51-year-old actor and singer turned out at the The Greek Theatre last night in a black and white jacket and skirt duo. Needless to say, it was all sorts of magical.

In this rendition of Cinderella, Porter depicts “Fab G,” a genderless fairy godparent, as the Amazon Studios production sought to bring a contemporary twist to a fairytale classic. He costars alongside Camila Cabello, who plays Cinderella herself.

“Very often our old fairytales can be slightly problematic for modern day consumption,” Porter said in an interview. “This version speaks to that as it is very much about the empowerment of women. As a result of the need and necessity to tell diverse stories that are inclusive.”

Porter definitely brought that fairy godparent energy with him last night for the movie’s Los Angeles premiere. The Pose actor appeared with grace and stature as he walked down the purple carpet in a white skirt with white platform, heeled boots. The outfit featured a tailored, nipped and tucked black jacket with a popped collar and a small black bow tied in the front.

But the icing on the cake for this outfit? The grandeur of the big white bow on the back of the look. The bow came up from behind his shoulder and cascaded down into a long train. An analysis of this outfit wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t mention the array of opulent rings Porter displayed on his hands. Silver and diamond-encrusted, they added a bit of bling to the otherwise matte outfit, and on his pinky he sported a silver band with magenta stones.

This is everything you want from a Billy Porter runway, dramatic, tasteful and with a slight twist of a redefined masculine silhouette, on his own terms. Oh yeah, and did we mention the clear clutch purse?
