With notes of spicy Sichuan pepper, ambrette seeds, sweet damascena rose and Earthy orris, this scent is punchy, warm and a little unusual. While it’s undeniably a floral, it’s tougher and has a mineral quality that makes it feel grown up, edgy and multifaceted. Try it if you want a floral with oomph.

In line with Chanel N°5’s 100th birthday, the French fashion house has release a limited edition version of the scent — housed in a recycled glass vessel — just in time for the holidays. There’s also a biodegradable paper casing (that’s too beautiful to throw out, in our opinion) making it a perfect collectors item or gifting option. And of course the heady aldehyde floral inside is the same scent we know and love.
