Regardless, Ben Affleck was spotted browsing engagement rings at famed jeweler Tiffany & Co. in Los Angeles. Could this be the apex moment that this entire summer has been building up to? A Bennifer engagement 2.0 perhaps?
Reported by Page Six, Affleck was seen at the Tiffany & Co. perusing the various rocks alongside his mother Chris and children Violet, 15, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9. What makes this convincing is the inclusion of Affleck’s mother on the jewelry-hunting trip. Blessings from the parents are often considered a lucky sign for a newly-engaged couple, and maybe Chris is lending her hand in the ring selection.
Now it could be completely possible that Affleck isn’t going for a ring just yet, rather just browsing jewelry as a gift for some sort of special occasion. With a couple like Bennifer, it would be a safe move to take some more time to rekindle the relationship, seeing as the two already were engaged in 2002, but called it off in 2003.
But the question in everyone’s heads continues to be what happened to the famed Harry Winston pink engagement ring the Affleck gave JLo in 2002.
“As far as I know, Jen has never returned the ring!” Rob Shuter, JLo’s former publicist said. “So if things move forward with these two, gosh she’s already got the most beautiful ring I’ve seen. It’s absolutely stunning.”
The ring debuted at the Gigli red carpet premiere in 2003, but a day before Affleck and JLo’s wedding was supposed to take place, the couple announced they had postponed the ceremony. Now, as the ring has aged about 19 years, it is appraised to be even more valuable than it initially was in 2002. The ring is reported to be worth $12 million, which is seriously sobering when put on paper.
An engagement, while seemingly soon, seems natural for the couple, who have spent nearly every second together since they first rekindled their relationship. So, when’s the wedding?
