All those 90s kids playing at home will recall some very fond (or rather hilarious) fashion moments from the decade. There were crops, tube tops, Mytiko pants, pedal pushers, flatform sneakers, chokers – the list goes on and on. But for those with more athletic sensibilities (or so they’d like to project to the world despite never really working out), there was one brand that ruled 90s athleisure: Italian sportswear label Kappa. That iconic silhouette of a man and woman leaning against one another was strewn down the legs and arms of 90s kids the world over – its ostentatious rain jackets and sweats a marker of personal style for many.

And now Bella Hadid – arguably the foremost proponent of the decade’s modern fashion revival – is bringing them back. While hunkering down at her horse-filled family property, Hadid posted a video cuddling up to two of her beloved ponies in a pair of white and marigold Kappa tracksuit pants, which matched the rolling amber fields where she enviably lay. She paired the 90s fashion icon with fluffy Ugg-like slippers (an isolation mandatory) and what appears to be a gold Rolex (apparently a celebrity isolation mandatory), while whispering to her horses, “I love you.”

Rekindling all kinds of memories – both bad and good – for us 90s Kappa enthusiasts, there’s no better time than now to give your Kappa sweatpants another go. The King (Kappa) is back.
