Ever since she began modeling as a teen, Bella Hadid has landed coveted high-fashion campaigns and walked major runway shows. Now, the 25-year-old is ready to make her big acting debut with a guest stint on Hulu’s Peabody Award-winning comedy-drama Ramy.

According to Deadline, Hadid will have a recurring role in the show’s third season, but very little else was disclosed about her character. With production getting underway, Hadid will appear in the Emmy-nominated series alongside the cast including Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Mohammed Amer, Steve Way, and the eponymous Ramy Youssef.

Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Youssef, alongside co-creators Ari Katcher, Ryan Welch, and Kate Thulin, the A24-produced series follows the story of a first-generation Egyptian American Ramy Hassan (played by Youssef) and his family, navigating the cross-roads between his traditional Muslim heritage and the contemporary millennial mindset. As Hadid has often expressed her pride in her Muslim culture and Palestinian roots, the casting seems an ideal fit.

The supermodel shared the news on Instagram writing, “best cast , best crew, best show honored & excited .♥️ yallaaaa @ramy. if you haven’t watched the first two seasons…. go. run. now. 🙏🏽love you.”

Hadid has expressed an interest in film and television before, telling The Telegraph in 2017 that she needs to “start taking acting classes and figure out a way to memorize things better.” She also told the publication that she wishes to snag an Oscar one day. Like many other models-turned-actors before her, including Channing Tatum, Cara Delevingne and HoYeon Jung (to name a very small selection!), Hadid is one step closer to making the leap with her new role.

Having conquered the modeling world at such a young age, there’s no telling what’s in store for her acting career. We, for one, will be sitting back and staying tuned.
