Designer and entrepreneur, Autumn Adeigbo, creates vibrant clothing for women who like to stand out in the crowd. In just under two years, she has raised enough funding that the brand is valued at $4.2 million dollars, with the help of some new A-list investors, like Cameron Diaz, Mila Kunis, and Gabrielle Union.

Before we get into the new investors, Adeigbo has been making big moves in the industry since 2016. The designer is mentored by Tory Burch, and recently spoke alongside Anna Wintour in May at the annual Parsons School of Design benefit, and was awarded the Table award, which recognizes individuals that have made a noteworthy impact on the design industry, and inspired students. Adeigbo also received the Fashion Designer on the Rise award at the Neiman Marcus-sponsored National Black Arts Fine Art + Fashion Awards in April.

Adeigbo became friends with Diaz and Kunis while they were on a retreat hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow and entrepreneur Brit Morin. Adeigbo said in a press release, “If you would have told me years ago that Cameron and I would become friends let alone business allies I would have never believed you.”

Diaz praised Adeigbo in the same release saying, “The room lights up when Autumn walks into the room. And her designs, no matter who’s wearing them, do the same. She is a star and her ability to shine her light through her designs is what makes them so desirable.” Adding, “I’m thrilled and honored to be part of her journey.”

Adiegbo has been a fan of Kunis for a long time. “Words don’t describe how much I look up to her. She is such a pillar of cultural excellence, activism, and entrepreneurship, let alone the impact she has made in Hollywood. She continued, “I couldn’t be happier that Mila found my company in alignment with her fashion and entrepreneurial passions.” Kunis, in response to the designer, said the two had an immediate connection, and investing in her brand was a “no brainer.” The actress continued, “I saw the fire in her eyes as the determination I recognize in successful entrepreneurs that tells me they won’t give up on the difficult start up path.”

Gabrielle Union, who also recently invested in the brand, was already a fan of the designer (and wore a look on Instagram, below). Adeigbo said, “Gabrielle has been so unbelievably supportive of me and my dreams, she is very outspoken with her support of Black women and female entrepreneurship. Her cultural expertise extends past her deep impact in Hollywood into her business acumen.”

According to her website, Adeigbo works closely with global artisans, utilizes female-owned production facilities in the U.S., and is devoted to positively impacting both the environment and the lives of women. She also is dedicated to improving the business sustainably, by purchasing in limited quality, only producing what is ordered, and eliminating waste.

In her latest collection, Fall 2022, Adeigbo was inspired by a Parisian house party highlighting bold prints, lace-up leggings, tall boots, knitwear, hand embroidery, plaids, wide-leg leather pants, and more.

With the latest investment, Adeigbo is adding a bunch of new accessories: clogs, tall boots, berets, more headwear and even home goods.

Autumn Adeigbo is sold at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Intermix, Nordstrom, ShopBop, Elyse Walker, Rent the Runway, Hampden Clothing, among other retailers.
