Attending the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival in Austin, Texas, Anne Hathaway showed up and showed out in Versace for the premiere of her AppleTV+ project alongside Jared Leto, WeCrashed.
Available to stream this Friday, March 18th, Hathaway arrived to the red carpet and special screening in a sparkling silver Versace Spring/Summer 2022 ready-to-wear cutout chainmail dress, styled by Erin Walsh.
Originally worn by Madonna’s daughter, model and singer Lourdes Leon on the Versace runway in September during the Spring-Summer 2022 season, Hathaway made a bombshell style statement in Donatella Versace’s creation featuring a sexy silhouette, slinky fabrication and torso cutouts.
Making an even stronger statement with her handbag, The Devil Wears Prada actress carried her Pipatchara Mini Amu silver beaded purse topped with a ribbon representing the transgender flag. Likely in response to Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s mandate to investigate families of trans children who have received medical care for their transitionary needs as “child abuse,” Hathaway chose the Texas red carpet to show her support for the transgender community.
Inspired by real life events, WeCrashed charts the frenetic rise and equally frenzied demise of shared workspace enterprise WeWork. Zeroing in on the love story at its center, Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway depict Adam Neumann and Rebekah Neumann, respectively.
