With November knocking on our door, we are just around the corner from the new year. I know what you’re thinking, “Okay, but how did that come so quick?!” Girl, same — and quite frankly, I don’t know either.
But, with every new year comes the excitement of what’s yet to come. New beginnings, new possibilities, and new dreams are all waiting to be discovered. Although we can choose to start anew at any time throughout the year, I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t something magical about the thought of a new year that really does make it feel different.
With each passing year, trends come and fads go, and as much we are trying to move away from the now controversial New Year’s Resolutions, the thought of which resolutions we want to make still lingers in our minds. And what’s the number one resolution (or let’s say, “goal”) we all have? Something health and wellness related, of course.
Personally, I’d love to take up running in the new year, and because I love fashion and shopping, the first thing my mind goes to is what I should wear to make that happen (the girls who get it get it). If you’re like me, then you’ve come to the right place.
First up on my list: this season’s hottest running shoes. Now I know searching for the perfect pair of running shoes can quickly become a dreadful task, having to put in the work to research, compare, try on, etc. Lucky for you, you’ve got GRAZIA! We’ve taken care of the work for you so you can get straight to the fun part: shopping.
This new year, I have my sights on one pair of sneakers that have been tested by Hollywood’s elite and kept them coming back for more. So, without further ado, let me introduce you to your new *fashionable* running best friend.
The Alo Runner
Alo, the beloved lifestyle brand, is best known for its yoga gear, athleisure, and wellness-obsessed, cult-like following — and for good reason. With quality fabrics, innovative technologies, and trend-forward silhouettes, Alo has quickly become a front-runner in the activewear space. In August of this year, the brand launched its first running shoe, the Alo Runner, which has since become a best-seller.

“Our first-ever performance shoe is engineered to support your body from the ground up, wherever your moving meditation takes you. Designed for stability and support on street, trail, track, or sand, the Alo Runner features a stabilizing heel clip, extra-firm cushioning at the heel, and a dual-density midsole designed for comfort and responsiveness. The breathable double-layer mesh upper optimizes air flow, and it’s made with 70% recycled materials for a lighter footprint on the Earth.”
Our favorite features of the new Alo Runner include the dynamic dual-density midsole that provides soft impact, high responsiveness, and optimal comfort, along with the stabilizing heel clip that provides both stability and support. Of course, we can’t forget the sleek styling of the shoe, which comes in all-white and all-black models.

Seen on the likes of Kylie Jenner, Mila Kunis, Brooks Nader, Lucy Hale, Olivia Wilde, and more, the Alo Runner has garnered quick popularity among the celebrity crowd. From workout classes to street style, the celeb spottings have proven the brand’s “studio-to-street” motto to be true IRL. And with so many options on the market — and our A-list friends quite literally having their choice of any running shoe out there — we trust the choice of these it-girls.
In addition to the big names wearing these runners, these shoes have also racked up quality customer reviews. “The most comfortable shoe I have ever bought. Really feels like you’re walking on clouds,” one customer writes. “My absolute favorite runner! No more shin splints, easy power walk and running, great arch and footbed support, awesome design. Overall an amazing product, love it and highly recommend it,” another reviewer raves.
