The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures hosted its third annual gala yesterday, December 3, bringing together Hollywood luminaries, industry leaders, and philanthropic supporters for an evening of celebration and generosity. Held at the museum’s iconic campus in Los Angeles, the event raised significant funds to support the museum’s ongoing exhibitions, educational programs, and community initiatives.
The gala, co-chaired by esteemed figures in the entertainment industry, including Ava DuVernay, Dr. Eric Esrailian, Halle Berry, and Ryan Murphy, honored four extraordinary individuals for their indelible contributions to cinema: Meryl Streep, Michael B. Jordan, Oprah Winfrey, and Sofia Coppola. These exceptional talents, each recognized for their unique artistry and unwavering dedication to storytelling, were celebrated for their profound impact on the world of film.
As guests arrived, they were met by a red carpet-worthy display of sartorial elegance, with celebrities showcasing their impeccable fashion sense. Among the standout looks were Rachel Zegler, Kendall Jenner, and Chrissy Teigen.
Zegler captivated onlookers in a form-fitting velvet Vivienne Westwood gown adorned with gold sparkles, complemented by jewelry from Yvonne Léon and Jacquie Aiche. Jenner turned heads in a bright red, high-neck couture Fendi gown, exuding an air of effortless beauty and sophistication. Teigen embodied timeless glamour in a dramatic cream-colored Tony Ward gown with a thigh-high slit and elaborate high-collar silhouette, complete with Jimmy Choo heels.
