MTV hosted its 29th edition of the Movie & TV Award show in-person at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles after the 2020 award show was canceled due to COVID-19. And this year’s show is the first to feature a second night of awards, which will be devoted exclusively to reality television. The MTV Movie & TV Awards were hosted by Coming 2 America star Leslie Jones. She was joined by Grammy-nominated rapper Snoop Dogg who served as the evening’s DJ. The award show was a big night for Disney+ Marvel hit, WandaVision. The popular MCU series collected four awards including the best show award at Sunday’s MTV Movie & TV Awards. “Marvel fans, you guys are just the greatest fans anyone can have and I’ve loved playing this part for seven years,” Elizabeth Olsen said on stage while collecting her award.
Scarlett Johansson was give the Generation Award for her many roles, including in the forthcoming Black Widow. Sacha Baron Cohen was presented with the Comedic Genius Award, which several of his most iconic characters accepted on his behalf. The Netflix teen romance To All The Boys: Always And Forever, starring Lana Condor, took home the best movie award. Moreover, Chadwick Boseman received a posthumous Best Performance in a show for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. With all these big wins, our favorite ones are the wins on the red carpet.
