Harry Styles and Taylor Russell, Hollywood’s most adored ‘new’ couple, have reportedly split just shy of a year together.
As reported by The Sun, the couple broke up in April following a trip to Japan. A source revealed to the British tabloid that their issues did not get any better before they decided to part ways.
“Harry and Taylor have ended their relationship,” they said. “They went through a rough patch after their trip to Japan and are taking some time apart.”
The insider added that Styles and Russell have been keeping some distance at this time.
“He’s been in America, and she’s been in London. They made a lovely couple, and it was obvious Taylor made Harry happy,” they continued. “Things have become strained recently, though, and they’ve taken some time out.”
The news comes as a shock, as only a few weeks ago, People reported that Russell and Styles’ relationship was going from strength to strength.
“They are fairly serious and have travelled together,” said a source, adding that while Styles is a relatively private person, he and Russell enjoyed the same interests.
Russell and Styles first sparked dating rumours after being spotted spending time together in London last June. By September, they confirmed they were a thing with some hand-holding in the streets.
Styles has been keeping a relatively low profile, while Russell was most recently photographed solo at the 2024 Met Gala in New York City. While it wasn’t obvious at the time, her custom Loewe look might just be the ultimate revenge dress.
