Swiss watch manufacturer Patek Philippe has announced that its most beloved style, the Nautilus Ref. 5711, will be receiving the Tiffany & Co. treatment. Only 170 ultra-exclusive versions will be released, symbolizing the 170-year-old partnership between Patek Philippe and Tiffany’s. Beginning in the 1800s, Tiffany & Co. began distributing Patek Philippe timepieces becoming the Swiss brand’s first official retailer in the US.

The release of the very last Nautilus 5711 is sure to cause quite a stir among wrist watch connoisseurs as the watchmaker decided to discontinue the famed model just months ago, causing both demand and retail value to soar in response.

The limited supply of the Nautilus Ref. 5711 will be reimagined with a Tiffany-blue face, available at select Tiffany & Co. boutiques. In celebration of French luxury conglomerate LVMH’s recent acquisition of Tiffany’s, spearheaded by chief Bernard Arnault, the collaboration with Patek Philippe will undoubtedly aid in elevating the Tiffany brand.

While, of course, the iconic brand is already seen as the crème de la crème of American jewelry, Patek’s Ref. 5711 represents the unparalleled pinnacle of luxury in the wrist watch sector, with the style rumored to have a 10 year waiting list.

Patek Philippe CEO Thierry Stern told CNBC, “This was my little gift to say congratulations on buying Tiffany,” he went on to say, “For me, it was quite clear I had to choose something unique and exceptional. This is really the last round for this watch.”
