Fashion month may be over, but Kim Kardashian turned NYC into her own runway ahead of her highly anticipated Saturday Night Live debut. The designer responsible for the iconic looks? No other than Demna Gvasali of Balenciaga, of course. Gvasali’s looks didn’t just stop at the promos and street style leading up to Kardashians big night but made several appearances between her monologue and skits throughout the night.

In the promo ahead of last night’s show, Kardashian mentioned, “Everyone else won’t look as good as me, will they?” to her fellow costars Cecily Strong and Halsey. “No, absolutely not,” Cecily assured her—and she wasn’t wrong. As Kim took fearless shots at her famous family members with jokes with a jag and even some self-attacking jokes, it was her head-to-toe pink velvet bodysuit (shaped with no other than SKIMS) the audience, both IRL and at home, couldn’t get enough of. Kim’s Balenciaga bodysuit gave strong inspo for winter dressing that we’re taking note of (nothing screams winter than crushed velvet, am I right?)

Carrying main character energy throughout the segment, Kim opted for a stunning yellow dress (not Balenciaga) that shaped her curves oh so perfectly in an epic star-studded version of The Bachelorette dubbed “The Dreamy Guy.” Kim, AKA Rochelle (as her character was named), shifted through the mix of handsome A-Listers, including Chris Rock, Jessie Williams, John Cena, Chase Crawford, and Tyler Cameron in an attempt to find her husband.

As the show continues to unfold, Kardashian swaps lives with SNL’s Aidy Bryant in a skit called The Switch. The 40-year-old gives Bryant a taste of the limelight while donning an elegant shimmery look leveled up with a chunky silver chain necklace and statement-making rings—all while wishing for a “normal boring life” you got to love the juxtaposition.

Kardashian sparkles in a rhinestone catsuit in a skit that’s reminiscent of her season one Keeping Up With The Kardashian party days. Although the club hits a bit different from the early days, hitting some Z’s rather than the bar the mom of four looks just as good as the early days bouncing around the NYC club scene, if you know you know.

For her final skit, Kardashian wears a super casual look in comparison to her others. While presenting her latest (fictional?) SKIMS product, she pairs a thin turtleneck with a pair of relax fit trousers both naturally in her signature nude colorway.

Closing out a humor-filled segment, the catsuit queen wore yet another—you guessed it, a bodysuit. This time in sleek spandex that wrapped around her pointy heels. The reality star paired the look with an exaggerated shaggy coat ad oversized dazzling earrings, disco vibes much? Mama Kris Jenner took to Instagram with a very “You’re going amazing sweetie” type post following the show. All in all, Kim’s Saturday Night Live debut was not bad for a girl with no talent, huh? The KKW and SKIMS founder has almost exclusively been wearing the french Maisons designs since the talented designer dressed her for ex-husbands Kanye’s DONDA performance. Since then, Kardashian has sported the recognizable designs for some iconic street style moments, and who could forget her dementor-esque Met Gala look? It seems this love affair between Gvasali and Kardashian is one that will be going on for a while, and honestly, we love it.
