A couple known for their usual edgy clothing statements have taken it down a notch in new photos released on the set of Machine Gun Kelly’s new music video. Photographed in Los Angeles, Megan Fox and Kelly were dressed casually, with Fox sporting some Nike athleisure and Kelly wearing a t-shirt and jeans combo. The photos also revealed that the shaved head that Kelly posted to Instagram was actually just a bald cap, as he had a full head of his signature platinum locks on set.
The couple has been going strong for a hot minute, and Fox boasts that their connection is one of “mythic proportions,” which I get, because it is the same why I feel when Madewell has a sale on jeans. Fox has some very choice and dramatic words to describe their relationship, bordering on theatrics.
“Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire,” Fox said in an interview. “The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude.”
I think someone took a creative writing class over the summer. But Fox wasn’t the only one to describe their relationship on such Shakespearean terms, Kelly also took some time to monologue about her in a recent interview.
“She’s like the earth,” Kelly said. “When it’s summer, it’s the hottest summer. When it’s winter, it’s the most amazing chill. In the fall and spring, it’s a beautiful transition. She is unlike any person I have ever met in my life.”
I never thought I’d get a lesson on the seasons from Machine Gun Kelly but I guess, in 2021, anything is possible. It’s hard to tell if these words are just a product of both their artistic natures conflating into a symphony of words describing their love in terms of weather and natural disasters or if they’re a genuine expression of emotion. Either way, it’s extremely entertaining to read, and who are we to judge?
