House of Gucci
Still from Ridley Scott’s House Of Gucci trailer.

Last Friday, MGM released the long awaited posters and official trailer for House Of Gucci. Naturally, the internet went into a frenzy, and it’s been a topic of every conversation since. “How amazing did Gaga look in the new House of Gucci trailer?” has replaces the viral meme of Lady Gaga feeding Adam Driver a relatively large pastry on set for best conversation icebreaker.

We’ve got a sneak peek into some of the looks, thanks to a few paparazzi shots, but now that the official trailer is here, we have a first look at all the fantastic fashion moments to come. Gaga, who portrays Patrizia Reggiani and Driver, who taps into his inner shy boy playing Maurizio Gucci, has already delivered some iconic looks within the two-minute clip.

It seems as if Hollywood is really making a leap into the fashion space recently. Could “shopping the casts wardrobes” be the future of fashion? Earlier this year, Netflix’s Halston series introduced its first-ever fashion collaboration with an exclusive capsule collection between Halston, the brand, and the streaming service. Whether or not we can expect a Gucci x MGM Studios collab is still TBD, but oh do we really hope so. I mean… Take a look at the party-ready turquoise sequined dress or pearl-studded halter dress worn by Reggiani for example. “Synonymous with wealth, style, and power,” just like the Gucci name she of course styled each look with layered pearl and diamond necklaces.

Gucci, the brand now falls under the Kering umbrella, and many A-list friends of the label appear in the true story film, including Jared Leto and Salma Hayek. The film hits theaters on November 24, coincidently the same month as creative directors Alessandro Michele’s Los Angeles show (we see what you did there!) Until then, watch the House of Gucci trailer full of money, betrayal, and murder below.
