A little over a year after releasing her critically acclaimed sophomore album Punisher, Phoebe Bridgers is finally heading back out on the road. Today, the Grammy nominated singer-songwriter announced her fall U.S. tour. The 25-date “Reunion Tour” kicks off September 3 in St. Louis and takes Bridgers and her band across the country wrapping in Washington, D.C., in late October. Pop band Muna will open on select dates.

Bridgers made the announcement today via Twitter, posting the tour poster along with a simple greeting: “hey.”

Nominated for four Grammy Awards, Punisher was widely considered one of the best albums of 2020. Bridgers was originally scheduled to spend the early months of last year touring with The 1975 ahead of the album’s release. But then a little thing called COVID-19 happened—perhaps you’ve heard of it. Despite the global pandemic putting pretty much all live music on hold for the past year and a half, this won’t be the first time Bridgers and her band have performed songs from Punisher live. Late last summer, they participated in Red Rocks Unpaused, a three-day concert series filmed at the iconic venue without an audience and streamed live on the Internet. (The full set is still out there online and well worth checking out.) She also appeared on Saturday Night Live back in February, and even caused a bit of rock n’ roll pearl clutchery when she smashed her guitar during a performance of “I Know the End.

Based on the tour poster, it looks like Bridgers might be sticking with her quirky stage attire. She and her band have all worn the same simple skeleton costumes for most of the few gigs they’ve been able to play.
