Some people save love letters in a drawer. Brooklyn Peltz Beckham prefers to keep his in permanent ink.
During a Balenciaga fitting in Paris, the 27-year-old posed shirtless for a photograph shared by wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, revealing the handwritten message tattooed across his upper back. Fashion Week usually delivers a statement accessory; this time, the detail drawing attention was beneath the clothes.
The Meaning Behind Brooklyn’s Love Letter Tattoo
The design reproduces a note Nicola wrote before the couple married in April 2022. Beginning with “My forever boy,” it encourages Brooklyn to return to her words whenever he feels anxious, reminding him that he is loved and that they can face difficult moments together. It ends with “Love always, your future wifey.”
Despite the renewed attention, the tattoo isn’t new: Brooklyn first shared the love-letter design in January 2021, while Nicola was still his fiancée. The Paris photograph offers another glimpse of a tribute that predates their wedding—and much of the public scrutiny surrounding their relationship.
The sentiment is intimate, even if the presentation is anything but discreet. Written in Nicola’s handwriting, the message turns a private keepsake into one of Brooklyn’s most recognizable declarations of devotion.
A Growing Collection of Tributes to Nicola
For Brooklyn, a single romantic tattoo was never going to be enough. In 2022, he said that around 70 of his approximately 100 tattoos were dedicated to Nicola.
His collection includes her name, a portrait of her face, her eyes and their wedding vows, alongside tributes to her late grandmother, Gina. Together, the designs form a permanent scrapbook of their relationship, preserving everything from family connections to promises exchanged at the altar.
A Fashion Week Appearance Amid Family Tensions
The couple’s Paris visit also brought renewed attention to Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents.
While Brooklyn and Nicola attended Balenciaga, he was absent from Victoria Beckham’s Spring/Summer 2027 show on October 2. His appearance elsewhere in the city came months after he publicly accused his parents of controlling behavior in a January statement.
That backdrop has inevitably added another layer to the photograph. But the tattoo itself offers no new explanation of the family dispute: its words were already on Brooklyn’s skin years earlier.
What it does make clear is his enduring enthusiasm for wearing his affection. A Balenciaga fitting might be about finding the right silhouette, but Brooklyn’s most personal statement was already part of the look.
