It seems that Zendaya has learnt a thing or two from her close collaborator, Law Roach. Today a new issue of Fashion Canada was released starring the celebrity stylist. It comes exactly four years after Zendaya appeared on the same cover, dressed by Roach in a futuristic spray jacket from Off-White.
Zendaya played stylist for the day and chose to dress her compadre in a striped sequin Gucci suit with a leather tie, heeled boots and seventies-inspired glasses. The cover was also accompanied by a larger photoshoot which Zendaya also styled. Both covers were photographed by the world renowned Nino Muñoz, hair styled by Kim Kimble and makeup courtesy of Sheika Daley.
“Proof Positive that anything is possible…. I’m on the cover of @fashioncanada styled by @zendaya the same cover that I styled her 4 years ago using the exact same team,” Roach wrote in an Instagram caption. “@ninomunoz photographed both of us @kimblehaircare did our hair and @officialsheiks did the makeup! The UNIVERSE is truly amazing.”
The celebrity stylist, who also counts clients like Megan Thee Stallion and Bella Hadid, is behind some of Zendaya’s most iconic looks. Think, her most recent appearance at the Emmy Awards when she channelled Audrey Hepburn in Maison Valentino. Or that day when she time travelled to 2003 in a vintage Versace dress once worn by Beyoncé.
While Zendaya can now add ‘stylist’ to her burgeoning resumé, she is also poised to make her directorial debut in 2023. Not much is known about the upcoming season of Euphoria but the actress did tease that she may have the opportunity to direct an episode of season three.
Zendaya is currently filming the second instalment of Dune alongside Timothée Chalamet and Florence Pugh (dream team) and is set to appear in Challengers late next year. Stay tuned for more.
