Hailing from the royal family of Abu Dhabi, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan is a formidable force in the country’s cultural landscape.
As the daughter and first born of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and the granddaughter of the late Sheikh Zayed, the father of the nation, and Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the mother of the nation, Sheikha Fatima has a deep love for her family and wellbeing of the country.
She’s also exceptionally talented, with a keen interest in art, photography, philanthropy and equestrianism. Through various initiatives, she seeks to foster a thriving society in the UAE, and consistently proves her heart lies with the people. Not to mention, she’s a distinguished academic and fluent in four languages.

She is the Founder of Sheikha Fatima Bint Hazza Cultural Foundation
Established in 1997, Sheikha Fatima launched the Foundation to promote intellectual, creative and cultural endeavours in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, and empower people through cultural interaction. Sheikha Fatima serves as the Chairwoman of the foundation, which forms part of a bigger dream held by Her Highness to develop children’s literature and education in the region.
SHE IS THE Chairwoman of Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy
Alongside her grandmother, Sheikha Fatima seeks to promote women’s sport and foster healthy lifestyles for residents in the emirates. She currently serves as the chairwoman of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy – an institution, that seeks to empower women through sporting, social, and cultural activities.
SHE’s An established ARTIST
Sheikha Fatima has created a number of video, photography and installation artworks, and in 2012, debuted her solo exhibition, “The Black Garment: An Oriental Story”. That same year, she received the Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashed Patrons of the Arts Award, and was the recipient of the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication Program Award from the American University in Dubai, following a series of achievements in academic excellence. She is currently recognised as a patron of art in the UAE.
SHE’s aN AVID HORSE LOVER
An equestrian lover at heart, Sheikha Fatima is the founder of Al Shira – an international organisation that specialises in breeding Arabian horses and organising show jumping competitions.
SHE’s a champion for women’s wellness and empowerment
Sheikha Fatima serves as the chairwoman of Al Ain Ladies Club as well as Abu Dhabi Ladies Club. These two wellness centres are in line with Sheikha Fatima’s vision to uplift women through providing them with the tools and facilities to live healthy, active, and enriching lifestyles.
She’s collaborated with Bulgari
Artistic in nature with a unique creative vision, Her Highness has designed two collections for Bulgari. The luxury Italian jewellery brand worked with the Emirati royal on high-end jewellery items that hold significant cultural symbolism for a collection entitled ‘Jannah’. For her second collection in 2021, the range featured six jewellery pieces in 18K rose gold, adorned with white diamonds and mother-of-pearl details. The collections feature floral motifs reminiscent of those in the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque, while the circle patterns represent femininity.
