This comes after the sad news was announced of the death of His Highness Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the brother of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The Presidential Court issued an obituary about Sheikh Saeed’s death on July 27, 2023.
“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful…,” the obituary read. “With hearts faithful to God’s decree and destiny, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan mourns his late brother, H.H. Prior to his passing, the Presidential Court issued a statement on July 22 saying Sheikh Saeed had been “going through a health problem”.
Sheikh Saeed, born in 1965, was the Representative of the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, an appointment which he held from 2010 until his death.
He was also the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Maritime Port Authority, a member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and the Undersecretary of the Department of Planning in Abu Dhabi.
