Toni Breidinger is a 21-year-old Lebanese model who is based in Hillsborough, California. Last weekend Breidinger made history as NASCAR’s first Arab-American female driver after her debut at the Daytona International Speedway. She currently holds the title for the top female driver in USAC history with 19 victories under her belt.

Speaking to CNN, she stated “I’m honoured and excited to be the first, but don’t want to be the last, I hope I can pave the way for future female Arab drivers as well.”

The driving addiction started at an early age for Breidinger. She credits her father for sparking the passion in her and her sister Annie (also a racing driver) as he bought them their own go-karts at age 9 and there was no turning back. “As soon as I got into a go-kart, I really just knew,” Breidinger said. “I’ve always had so much passion for it. I love the competition, the adrenaline rush. I’m hooked on it.”

She is no stranger to shifting gears in life off the track, either. Previously she has modelled for brands such as SKIMS and Tory Burch. However, her true passion remains reaching the NASCAR Cup Series, the top racing series in the game. Here’s wishing her the best of luck!
