With the release of a new album it seems Taylor Swift is kicking off a new style era too. At the weekend the Midnights artist stepped out at the PSD Bank Dome in Dusseldorf, Germany for the 2022 MTV Europe Music Awards. Never one to stray from a statement Swift put a vampy twist on balletcore with a custom David Koma ensemble, fitting for the fall season.
The singer paired her signature bangs and winged eyeliner with a black leotard underneath an emerald chain-link midi skirt and finished off the look with black velvet Giuseppe Zanotti heels.
Swift was nominated for six awards at the weekend and closely followed the “King of Pop” Harry Styles who boasted seven nods. Unsurprisingly she went on to take out Best Artist against the likes of Adele, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Rosalia. The 32-year-old was also awarded Best Longform Video for All Too Well (10 Minute Version).
Upon accepting the prestigious awards, Swift changed into another glittering David Koma number paired with silver Jimmy Choo platform heels. Party dressing, and festive season inspiration, in fine form.
The “Anti-Hero” star returned to the red carpet in August for the 2022 MTV VMAs to surprise fans with the announcing of her newly-released (and record breaking) album, Midnights. She wore an Oscar de la Renta mini dress – which we dubbed at the time as the new naked dress – before changing into a celestial-inspired Miu Miu romper for the afterparty.
Swift will embark on a hotly-anticipated tour, Eras, in 2023 starting in the US from March before travelling globally. Australian dates have not yet been announced. Stay tuned for more.
