Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stepped out over the weekend to attend an exclusive event in Dubai.
Wearing a khaki-coloured abaya and kaftan, the Dubai princess attended a pop-up edition of the Icons Exhibition at a popular local café in the emirate, Kulture House.
Attending the event on Friday, Sheikha Mahra met with the founders of the fashion initiative, Rabia Al Sheikh and Roudha Al Shamsi.
In a video shared by Her Highness, she was also seen exploring a number of the designers and brands that were being showcased at the Icons Exhibition pop-up.
The pop-up was hosted in tandem with the festive season in collaboration with the Dubai Shopping Festival, an emirate-wide initiative filled with shopping activations, deals, entertainment and adventures.
It’s the first edition of a smaller pop-up hosted by the Icons Exhibition, of which Sheikha Mahra is a regular attendee.
First launched in 2021, the Icons Exhibition is an bi-annual event which normally takes place at the Palazzo Versace Hotel that aims to highlight the wide variety of local brands in the UAE, from fashion to beauty to fragrance to jewellery.
As a keen advocate for supporting local fashion, Sheikha Mahra often attends the event to bring awareness and highlighting emerging talent in the region.
This recent outing at the fashion event comes after Her Highness’ attendance at the Golden Wings Awards 2023. Held at the opulent Palazzo Versace Dubai, the awards show honours international and regional talent across a range of industries, including fashion, film, music and the arts.
