His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah has unveiled plans for an exclusive women’s beach.

Spanning 500 metres, this dedicated haven in the Emirate of Sharjah will grace the Al Luluyah area (also known as Pearl), within Khorfakkan. The family-friendly beach will foster an area to be transformed into a private sanctuary exclusively for women, offering complete privacy and tranquillity.

At the heart of this serene beach, an all-in-one service building will cater to every need, featuring a café, a medical bay, and a prayer room, ensuring an effortless leisure experience.

In addition, under Sheikh Sultan’s guidance, a pedestrian bridge will be constructed, linking Al Bardi 6 and Al Batha areas in Khorfakkan, ensuring seamless connectivity for the community.

This isn’t the first time Sheikh Sultan has exercised his prerogative to champion women’s needs.

Continuously striving to elevate the Emirate of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan has consistently paved new paths to ensure women in the UAE and beyond are supported in every aspect of life.

In a 2019 statement, he declared, “I will personally support programs and efforts to empower women around the world,” further solidifying his unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of women. His commitment extends to urging all Sharjah entities to “expand their initiatives to include all communities worldwide, where women can be supported in education, training, and active participation in the economy.”

He concluded, “I hereby pledge to sponsor global efforts to support women’s economic empowerment, particularly in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, where women need us to stand by their side.”
