Salama Mohamed has been open about the highs and lows she has faced over the last seven months.
And much like others during turbulent times, her friends have been her safe haven.
Taking to Instagram, she candidly opened up to her 1.6 million followers about her healing journey, thanking one of her closest friends, Maram, who has stood by her during moments of weakness.
Salama said in the post, “I rarely come here and open my heart, but I thought I really have to.”
The mother of two delved into the story of her close friend Maram, called her one day and found out that the beauty mogul wasn’t doing well amid her split from ex-husband Khalid Al Ameri. Without much thought, Maram was said to have booked a flight immediately and ended up staying in the UAE for a month to help Salama recuperate.
She even mentioned how Maram continuously supported her during severe episodes of her life last year.
“She saw how devastated I was and took me to the hospital during my IBS flare-up,” she explained.
Maram, though not much is known about her, took the initiative to be Salama’s guiding hand. “It was her mission to get me out of bed and start leaving my house, all in baby steps,” Salama said.
And true to her word, many of Salama’s fans have noticed her post about her travels around the globe and more frequently, posting her beauty content after a long pause.
Thanking her close friends and family, she expressed her gratitude, especially to Maram, to whom the post is dedicated. “To my Maram, I dedicate the woman I am today to you.”

The last 18 months have been a tumultuous time for the public figure, who recently opened up in an interview with Emirati presenter Nour Aldin about the breakdown of her marriage.
Confirming the pair divorced back in February 2024, the beauty mogul discussed the ups and downs she has experienced during the split.
“At the end of last year and at the beginning of this one I was in a very dark place,” she admitted. “The world always throws problems at you, you fall down and get back up. But this was the first time I reached the bottom. I was talking to myself and thinking, ‘I don’t know photo pull myself up, physically and mentally.’ For the first time, I was totally helpless.”
The Emirati entrepreneur opening up about her split from Khalid came just as the content creator appeared to announce his engagement. While there has been no official confirmation, fans have been speculating its to Indian actress Sunaina Yella.
