Salama Mohamed has broken her silence on the status of her marriage with Khalid Al Ameri, confirming the pair have officially divorced.

In a YouTube interview with Emirati presenter Nour Aldin, the Peacefull founder announced the news when she was questioned about the split.

The confirmation of the divorce comes after Khalid seemingly announced he was engaged last week, posting a black and white picture on his Instagram.

This led to mass speculation on the status of Khalid’s marriage to Salama.

“You are now separated, or can I say divorced?” Nour questions, before Salama responds, “Divorced.” Putting days of buzz at rest with one word, she explains what adjusting to this massive life change has been like.

“For the first time, Salama’s life wasn’t dependent on anyone” the mother of two begins. “Before marriage, I was dependent on my family. After marriage, I was dependent on my husband. But now as an independent person, it’s the first time that I know Salama.”

From raising her two sons to expanding her skincare brand to new heights, Salama explains that getting to re-know the new version of herself has been a rewarding journey.

This is a developing story.

Salama Mohamed And Khalid Al Ameri

The enigmatic black-and-white picture wasn’t the only thing that led to fans asking questions about the status of Salama and Khalid’s marriage. Deleting their widely loved joint Instagram account, on which they garnered their core audience through relatable comedic familial skits, the alarm bells started quite some time ago.

Adding to the fuel, while Salama still has a few posts up, the pair have appeared to delete all their pictures and videos together from their personal accounts. Even unfollowing each other on their main social media platform, Instagram. Once appearing in each other posts constantly, essentially a hou the stark difference has caused the breakup rumours to intensify.

Remaining transparent and open, both Salama Mohamed and Khalid Al Ameri continue to create content and share life updates with their audiences from separate platforms. While raising their two sons and growing their entrepreneurial footprints, even exploring new content styles, the two Emiratis continue to check off new milestones and goals on their new life paths.
