Palestinian artist Saint Levant took to the stage at Coachella this year and dedicated his performance to the people of Gaza.

The star took to the stage to perform a number of his hit songs including “Very Few Friends” and “Nails”, as well as “From Gaza, With Love”.

The 23-year-old singer also addressed the crowd to highlight the ongoing conflict devastation in Gaza.

“Coachella, my name is Saint Levant and I was born in Jerusalem and raised in Gaza,” he declared to the crowd. “As I hope all of you are aware, the people of Gaza have been undergoing a brutal, brutal genocide for the past six months. And the people of Palestine have been undergoing a brutal occupation for the past 75 years.

“It’s not just me on the stage – it’s the whole Arab world on the stage.”

Saint Levant, born in Jerusalem Marwan Abdelhamid, grew up in Gaza, before his family fled to Jordan in 2007.

Since stepping onto the music scene in 2022, Saint Levant has continued to pay homage to his roots in his music and his Coachella performance was no different. He has also continued to call for unrestricted justice to Palestine.

“We Palestinians only know resilience,” he also declared on stage. “We will return and we will rebuild.”

Ending on a note of strength, is unyielding devotion to his DNA, in every facet of his artistic endeavours is clear.
