RIMOWA has long been the jet-setter’s badge of honour – those ridged aluminium cases wheeled through airport terminals from CDG to DXB, particularly during fashion week.

But now, the German Maison is taking its signature grooves off the carousel and into everyday life with the launch of the Groove Collection. The latest release is a sleek line of leather bags that feels like a natural evolution of its cult luggage.

Hand-crafted in Italy from supple leather, the bags borrow the brand’s most recognisable detail – bold vertical and horizontal lines – and reimagine it in softer, more tactile form. It’s RIMOWA’s language, just translated from runway tarmac to city sidewalk.

The line-up is tight and considered. The Shopping Bag, an elevated classic; the Sliding Hobo, relaxed but quietly polished; and the Cross-Body in two sizes, each one channelling the silhouette of a mini suitcase with a glossy hit of palladium hardware.

Interiors are clever too – detachable pouches, wide zip openings, and pockets designed with the same precision as a packing system.

As for colours, black anchors the collection, silver nods to the brand’s aluminium icons, and seasonal shades of pink, burgundy, and green bring a playful edge. It’s the kind of palette that slots as easily into a monochrome wardrobe as it does a bold one.

Launching worldwide on September 22, 2025, with prices from €950 to €1700, the Groove Collection proves RIMOWA goes beyond a simple check-in; it’s there for the entire journey.
