Calling all Selenators, Rare Beauty has finally landed in Sephora stores across the region.
According to Instagram, the “entire collection—lips, eyes, complexion, tools, you name it—is available now” both in-stores and online.
Selena Gomez took to social media back in February 2020 to announce the launch in her beauty brand. A nod to her then-latest song Rare, the singer says, “It’s meant to be enjoyed—it’s very special. We are not meant to look like everybody else, we’re meant to look like ourselves. Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself. I’ve stopped trying to be perfect. I just want to be me.”
The brand’s ethos is built on individuality and self-love in equal parts. Selena has been very vocal online about embracing individualism of late. Following her bipolar diagnosis, the artist is on a mission to normalise conversations surrounding mental illness. Together with Rare Beauty, Selena launched “Mental Health 101”, a campaign designed for young people. “I know first hand how scary and lonely it can feel to face anxiety and depression by yourself at a young age,” the 28-year-old wrote on Instagram back in April. “If I had learned about my mental health earlier on—been taught about my condition in school the way I was taught about other subjects—my journey could have looked very different.”
Since its launch, Rare Beauty has since garnered over 2.5 million followers on Instagram through teasing various drops – that we can now finally get our hands on.
