It’s quite well-known that Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan has formed a deep admiration for her first granddaughter, Princess Iman bint Hussein Abdullah.

Cementing that fact even further was her recent royal engagement with the women of Shahab, Jordan, where she hosted a luncheon.

Taking to Instagram, the Queen posted a reel with her 10.3 million followers showcasing her visit, where she was seen speaking to over 100 women from a myriad of fields across education, media, culture and civil society.

Whilst wearing traditional Jordanian garments, Queen Rania briefly opened up and expressed her gratitude for the blessings she has received throughout her life. “We thank God for blessings every day,” she began.

Candidly, she talked about her adoration for Princess Iman, with whom she is most thankful for this year, “The grace that came to me this year is little Iman. Time flies when I’m with her.”

During her appearance, she also discussed her solidarity with Palestine, reflecting on how the region has faced many difficulties in the face of oppression and suffering.

“We used to believe that all people in this world had an equal claim to humanity and human rights; but sadly, we are seeing otherwise,” she said.

But, the Queen, regardless, was thankful for how Jordan remained headstrong in light of recent tragedies.

“We in Jordan will stay true to the core values in which we were raised: kindness, generosity, compassion, care, and community. These are the values I never fail to see in the Jordanian people,” she added.

The Jordanian royal has already proven she’s fully embracing her new role as a grandmother. She even recently enjoyed a “bring your grandchild to work day” moment with the little one, sharing a sweet photo cradling her first grandchild in her arms, all the while in work mode.

Since the birth of the Princess Iman, the first child of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa, on August 3, 2024, Queen Rania has made it clear she, and the royal family, are more than overjoyed with the arrival of the newest member of the family.

She marked her excitement with a sweet photo of her carrying the then new-born baby Princess Iman and captioned, “Iman, you’ve already got a hold on my heart. Our Family has never been happier! ♥️”
