Over the weekend, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani made an apperance at Lusail International Circuit with his family to attend the conclusion of the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2024.

Seen enjoying the race, where Max Verstappen claimed the top spot and Charles Leclerc secured second place, Sheikh Tamim was joined by his youngest brother, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani and their nieces, Roda, Maryam, and Aisha–the daughters of their eldest brother, Sheikh Mishaal bin Hamad Al Thani.

Among other Arab officials in attendance, the Emir of Qatar was also seen with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi, the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.

Showing excitement, the Qatar royal family showcased their enthusiasm as they greeted other attendees, nobles and dignitaries by the railings, all the while being immersed and entertained by the race.

This isn’t the first time the Emir of Qatar showed his interest and passion for the famed Formula 1 race. Just a week back, the Sheikh also attended the Las Vegas Grand Prix, where he was seen in casual browns flaunting a Prada leather zipped jacket.

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and his first consort, Sheikha Sheikha Jawaher Bint Hamad Al Thani, officially landed in the UK in the early hours of Monday, December 2, 2024.

The royals made an elegant entrance, stepping off from the Qatar Airways aeroplane, where the Sheikha was seen donning a customised Christian Dior Haute Couture long beige trench coat from the Spring/Summer 2022 collection.

Her understated yet chic styling was rounded off with a set of neutral accessories, including what seems to be a leather Hermés handbag and a pair of grey-hued heels. At the same time, Sheikh Tamim complements her look with a navy suit and blue-on-blue necktie and shirt.

This royal visitation also marked  Princess Kate Middleton of Wales’s first engagement since her cancer diagnosis, where she was seen greeting and welcoming the Qatari Royals with her Husband, Prince William, at Kensington Palace.

The royals then embarked to the Horse Guards Parade, where were ceremonially welcomed by King Charles III. Queen Camilla, however, did not attend the ceremony due to a lingering infection, as reported by BBC.

It was only after that the Queen was able to tend to her royal duties alongside the Sheikha where they were both spotted admiring Qatari artefacts from the royal collection at Buckingham Palace.
