GRAZIA celebrates International Women’s Day and the season two launch of Preserving Palestine

On Wednesday March 8th, GRAZIA hosted an intimate صبحية to celebrate International Women’s Day, as well as the launch of season two of our viral podcast series, Preserving Palestine. The event took place by the Palestinian-owned Mishkah Olive Oil Station and Creative Space in Alqouz, which was the perfect backdrop with its grand olive tree, Palestinian art works and tatreez-embroided pillows.

As the host of the very special podcast series, I hosted the incredible event with the little help of a few inspiring women. First up, I asked my mother, who is the epitome of a strong Palestinian woman, to join me as a panelist and share her emotional and heartfelt story. Next, I invited the talented Reema Al Banna, founder of Palestinian label Reemami, as well as Deema Al-Alami, children’s book author and activist to join me as we discussed the struggles of being a Palestinian woman in this day and age, the importance of sharing our heritage through our work and how they believe is the best way to Preserve Palestine.

Together, we enjoyed emotional yet unfiltered discussions and delicious bites courtesy of Bread Ahead. We’ve also been getting asked about when we will be finally creating merch for Preserving Palestine ever since season one, and we finally delivered.

GRAZIA gifted each of their guests customised and limited tote bags with our artwork filled with incredible gifts courtesy of Louboutin Beauty, including a lipstick, a chic leather pouch and, a travel-sized perfume and customised posters. Melia flowers, located inside Mishkah, also gifted each guest a stunning bespoke bouquet of flowers and arranged our floral and feminine table. We also couldn’t have anyone leaving without a miniature olive oil bottle straight from Palestine, courtesy of Mishkah and of course the latest issue of GRAZIA.
