Prada continues to assert its creative stronghold on the fashion industry, showing another incredibly collection lauded by consumers and critics alike.
Held at the Fondazione Prada, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons showed what can only be described as a perfectly cohesive, functional but artfully designed workwear wardrobe – delicate cardigans, smart pencil skirts, chic suiting, fluffy wool and plush outerwear. Crafty elements – like appliqué floral motifs – gave it a beautiful edge; an elevated, Prada-fied take on the concept of uniform dressing.
The beauty look followed suit, makeup specifically. Artist and fashion month matriarch Pat McGrath paired her signature sublime skin with pastel lashes. But instead of standard falsies – which are typically sleek, glossy and uniform – these were fluffy and fanned out; as if they were made from a natural fibre. They also came in candy-coloured shades of soft pink, lilac, straw and apricot; a fresh additional to the mostly-muted palette of the collection itself.

Hair on the other hand was simple, sleek, demure. Guido Palau kept things fresh, adding plenty of gloss and tucking the front sections softly behind the ears. Timeless but with a twist (always!) it was another banner show from the Italian fashion house that’s just as fantastical as it is functional for real life.
