All The Photos From The “Don’t Worry Darling” Venice Premiere
All the fashion, all drama
On day seven of the Venice Film Festival, the cast of Don’t Worry Darling descended into Lido di Venezia for the highly-anticipated film premiere. Yes, even the much talked about Florence Pugh was in attendance. For onlookers hoping to catch a glimpse of PDA from director Olivia Wilde and actor Harry Styles, it wasn’t the red carpet debut we were hoping for. Instead, the tension between Wilde, Styles and Pugh was palpable and no one spoke a word to each other.
Controversy aside, the fashion was incredible. Of course Styles was dressed in a crisp Gucci suit (the wider the collar the better) from the upcoming Gucci HA HA HA collection while longtime collaborator Alessandro Michele was also captured on the red carpet. Wilde also wore a Gucci ensemble – a sunshine yellow chiffon gown draped in silver diamantés. Pugh shined in a Valentino gown and her grandmother, the cutest woman alive, accompanied her into the theatre. Co-stars Gemma Chan in gold sequins, Sydney Chandler in a slinky black gown and Chris Pine in a seventies-inspired brown suit also walked the red carpet.
Notable guests featured Venice golden girl Tessa Thompson, comedian Nick Kroll and style influence Leonie Hanne. Indeed, it was the hottest ticket in town.
Don’t Worry Darling is a psychological thriller set in the 1950s within an experimental utopian city in the Californian desert. The film follows a housewife who begins to question her own sanity when she notices strange occurrences within the town. Meanwhile her husband is keeping a dark secret from her. For Australian viewers we will have to wait a little longer to see the film, releasing into cinemas from October 6, 2022.
