Binging Bridgerton was pretty much a lockdown rite of passage — and one we weren’t mad about, to be honest (hi, Rege Jean Page).

But the undeniable breakout star was the divine Phoebe Dynevor, an English actress who had us all enthralled with her depiction of Daphne Bridgerton.

Dynevor has been a Hollywood fixture ever since, gracing magazine covers and fronting heavyweight campaigns (she’s currently a friend of Luis Vuitton). But she might just have landed its most exciting gig yet, being crown the first ever face of skincare brand Sunday Riley.

Sunday Riley is an American skincare brand that carved out space as one of the first ‘indies’ at the time of its launch in 2009. Dramatically different to all that was available, Sunday Riley represented a new kind of beauty brand that was clean, consumer-focused and not owned by a mega corporation. Now, it’s an industry stalwart, defined by cult classic formulas like Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment.

Dynevor represents their first celebrity face, sharing in a statement that she’s “thrilled to be joining the Sunday Riley team”. The actress has generated a bit of beauty buzz lately (her Charlotte Tilbury campaign was insane), so it’s exciting to see her take on such a role. Dynevor is also very much vocal about the issues of sustainability, making the partnership even more meaningful (the Sunday Riley brand is B Corp certified, cruelty-free and employs a zero-waste extraction process when formulating its iconic face oils).

Founder and CEO Sunday Riley is equally thrilled to have Dynevor’s face on board, sharing the following statement in a press release: “Phoebe is incredibly kind and warm and relatable, she’s a woman whom you feel instantly connected to. Yes, her skin is gorgeous. But her outlook, the way she views the world, the way she leans in to speak with you, the way she opens up about her fears and her dreams, she’s incredibly human. That’s the type of person that I want to work with.”
