In the past few weeks, we’ve had Kim Kardashian make her relationship with Pete Davidson Instagram official, a leaked text exchange between Davidson and Kanye West which also revealed Davidson has Kardashian’s name tattooed on him, and an Ellen DeGeneres interview in which Kardashian revealed he has not one, not two, but three tattoos for her (oh, and that name one is actually a branding). All of these Davidson headlines have coincidentally coincided with the Kardashian family’s press run for their reality TV show 2.0: The Kardashians, set to premiere on April 14th on Hulu.

Since Kardashian and Davidson were first spotted together in October 2021 on that fateful rollercoaster ride, there have been many rumours suggesting their relationship is pure PR for the new show. The above timeline of events coinciding with the show’s release seems to point that way, but many other factors – such as those tattoos – point otherwise. Honestly, I flip-flop daily, but what does seem certain is that Davidson is set to not only make cameos on the show, but to actually have his own plotlines, similar to that of Kourtney Kardashian’s longtime ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.

Even though Disick and Kardashian’s relationship has been over for years now, Disick continued to be a key character on Keeping Up with the Kardashians with many fans of the show pointing to him as their favourite person across the seasons. This is, in part, thanks to Disick’s hilarious, comedic tone (Todd Kraines, forever), which thankfully will continue on as he’s set to star on The Kardashians, too.

Now, Kris Jenner being Kris Jenner, there’s no doubt the momager of the decade would have sniffed out Davidson’s star power and watchability for this new, revamped show. Who better to add to the fun, Disick tone than a literal comedian?

Seemingly proving my theory is what happened over the weekend: Disick and Davidson teaming up for a ‘wild boy’s night out.’ Taking to Disick’s Instagram – as he infamously deleted his own account – Davidson shared a behind-the-scenes video from their evening, revealing that Disick and their two friends had all fallen asleep on the couch.

“Boyz night was wild,” Davidson wrote as he scanned the room showing the TV on and the group of sleepy lads, along with a series of bed emojis. Of course, if this was meant to be filmed for the show, there were a lot less clubs and bottles involved than Disick’s nights out on the early seasons of KUWTK, but the fact the boys are spending ample time together does hint at cameras being involved at some point. Seriously, who wouldn’t watch these two?

The Kardashians meets SNL? That’s why they pay Kris Jenner the big bucks.
